What to Wear to Court
Please report for jury service wearing respectable clothes. As a general rule, business or business casual clothing is acceptable. The following types of clothing are not suitable for court proceedings: shorts, tube tops, halter tops, clothing that contains any obscene, suggestive or inflammatory print or images, and clothes that are overly dirty or ragged.
Where to Park
Park free in Lot 3 or Lot 44 based on juror number using our temporary permit which is explained in the information included with the jury letter. Optionally pay to park at meters on streets near Courthouse. Call jury coordinator for information regarding handicap parking.
Courthouse Security Information
Required to pass through metal detector. No weapons allowed.
Jury Check-in Information
Check in on the Lower level of Courthouse between 7:50 and 8:40 am. Most jury trials start on Mondays. Call 319.398.3411 between 5:00 pm Friday and 8:00 am Monday the weekend prior to your term of service to determine if you need to report.

Travel, Mileage, and Other Expenses
Jurors are reimbursed for travel to and from residence to the courthouse at a rate of .50 per mile as approved by the supreme court.
Compensation
Pursuant to state law, you will be paid $30 a day for each day of jury service up to seven days; $50 a day for eight or more days of service. You may waive the right to compensation, which will help reduce the state's cost of operating the court system.
