Check trial status information: To check trial
status information, please call the juror recording at (563) 886-6371. The
recording is updated each week no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday. If jurors are
needed, the instructions on the recording will tell the jurors where and when
to report.
Where to park: Free parking is available all around the
courthouse.
Courthouse security information: A private security guard is present in the courthouse
during regular courthouse hours. If he is on vacation or otherwise absent, the
sheriff's department is responsible for providing security. There are security
cameras throughout the courthouse monitored by the security guard. It is
possible that the security guard or sheriff's deputy may conduct a wand search
for metal detection purposes. Thus, you may want to avoid having an excessive
amount of metal or electronic objects on your person.

Inside the courthouse---where to report for jury
service: Jurors are to report at 8:30 a.m. the first day for a
District Court trial, or at 12:30 p.m. for a Magistrate Court trial. The juror
recording (see "Check trial status information" above) will provide jurors with
their reporting time and other reporting instructions .If selected to sit on a
jury, reporting time for subsequent days will be provided by the Court.
What to wear to court:
Please
report for jury service wearing respectable clothes. As a general rule, business or business
casual clothing is acceptable. The
following types of clothing are not suitable for court proceedings: shorts, tube tops, halter tops, clothing that
contains any obscene, suggestive or inflammatory print or images, and clothes
that are overly dirty or ragged.

Travel, mileage and other expenses: Jurors
are reimbursed for travel to and from residence to the courthouse at a rate
approved by the supreme court.
Compensation: Pursuant to state law, you
will be paid $30 a day for each day of jury service up to seven days; $50 a day
for eight or more days of service. You
may waive the right to compensation, which will help reduce the state's cost of
operating the court system
