Check trial status information: Jurors are to
call 563-652-5381 after 5:00PM on the Friday before their scheduled service
date (located on the front of the jury summons form). Jurors will be given
reporting requirements at that time.
Where to park: There is a courthouse parking lot. Parking is
also available in the parking lot east of the courthouse.
Courthouse security information: The sheriff's department is responsible for providing
security in the courthouse. It is possible that the sheriff may conduct a wand
search for metal detection purposes. Thus, you may want to avoid having an
excessive amount of metal or electronic objects on your person.

Inside the courthouse---where to report for jury
service: Jurors are to report at 8:30 a.m. the first day. Jurors
are to call 563-652-5381 after 5:00PM on the Friday before their scheduled
service date (located on the front of the jury summons form). Jurors will be
given reporting requirements at that time. If selected to sit on a jury, reporting
time for subsequent days will be provided to jurors by the Court.
What to wear to court:
Please
report for jury service wearing respectable clothes. As a general rule, business or business
casual clothing is acceptable. The
following types of clothing are not suitable for court proceedings: shorts, tube tops, halter tops, clothing that
contains any obscene, suggestive or inflammatory print or images, and clothes
that are overly dirty or ragged.

Travel, mileage and other expenses: Jurors are reimbursed for travel to and from
residence to the courthouse at a rate approved by the supreme court.
Compensation: Pursuant to state law, you
will be paid $30 a day for each day of jury service up to seven days; $50 a day
for eight or more days of service. You
may waive the right to compensation, which will help reduce the state's cost of
operating the court system
