Court-Annexed Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Subcommittee
The Court-Annexed ADR Subcommittee is studying the role of mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution in the Iowa court system. Should the current voluntary mediation system for non-family law cases be maintained? Should mediation of any categories of non-family law cases be mandatory in Iowa? What, if any, role should the Judicial Branch play in the ADR system? Should certification requirements be adopted for mediators? These and other questions will be explored by the subcommittee.
