Pre-Trial Procedures Subcommittee
The Pre-Trial Procedures Subcommittee is studying the feasibility of a number of potential reforms and innovations, including uniform local rules, the “one judge – one case” concept, firm trial dates, and a multi-track civil system with rules appropriate for the size and complexity of the case. This subcommittee will also likely consider potential reforms affecting civil jury trials. Among these are the development of a uniform jury questionnaire, potential improvements in the juror education process, and proper methods of juror rehabilitation during voir dire.
