Chief Judge, Kurt L. Wilke: District 2
Judge Wilke, Fort Dodge, was appointed to the
bench in 1992. He served as a district judge until his appointment as chief in
2007. Born in Rochester, Minnesota, he received his undergraduate
education from the University of Minnesota. After earning his B.A. in 1970, he
went to the University of North Dakota and received his law degree in 1974. He
practiced law with a private firm and served as Webster County magistrate.
Judge Wilke is a board member on the Iowa Judges Association and a member of
the Iowa State Bar Association. He is married with three children.
District Court Judge, Carl D. Baker: District

Judge Baker, Marshalltown, was appointed to
the bench in 1981. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa and earned his undergraduate
degree from the University of Iowa in 1968. In 1971, he received his law degree
from the same institution. Judge Baker was in private practice from 1971 to
1978 and served as Marshall County attorney from 1975 to 1976. In 1979, he became
a district associate judge. Judge Baker belongs to the Iowa Judges Association
and was a member of the Judicial Conduct Committee.
District Court Judge, Thomas J. Bice:

Judge Bice, Fort Dodge, was appointed to the
bench in November of 2008. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the
University of Iowa in 1969. He graduated Order of the Coif from the Drake
University Law School in 1972. Judge Bice was in private practice from
1972 until his appointment in November 2008. Judge Bice has been involved
in the Iowa Board of Law Examiners, Chairman 2004-2008; National Conference of
Bar Examiners Committee on Character and Fitness; National Conference of Bar
Examiners Committee on Multistate Performance Test; Board of Directors,
National Conference of Bar Examiners (2008). His is a member and Past
President of the Webster County Bar Association.
District Court Judge, Stephen P. Carroll:

Judge Carroll, Hampton, was appointed to the
bench in 1985. He earned his undergraduate degree from Grinnell College and his
law degree from Drake University.
District Court Judge, James M. Drew: District
2A
Judge Drew, Hampton, was appointed to the
bench in February of 1999. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from
Arizona State University in 1982 and his law degree from the University of Iowa
in 1985. Judge Drew was in private practice from 1986-1999, and served as
Franklin County attorney from 1988-1994. He is a member of the Iowa
Judges Association and the Iowa State Bar Association.
District Court Judge, Timothy J. Finn:

Judge Finn, Ames, was appointed to the bench
in 1987. He was born in Jefferson, Iowa, in 1948. Judge Finn went to the
University of Iowa, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1971 and then
attended Drake University, where he received his law degree in 1974. He
practiced law in Ames, Iowa, and clerked for Justice David Harris of the Iowa
Supreme Court.
District Court Judge, Christopher C. Foy:

Judge Foy, Waverly, was appointed to the
bench in December of 2007. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry
from the University of Northern Iowa in 1984. He graduated with High
Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1987. Judge Foy
practiced law in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 1987-1991, and in Waverly from
1991-2007. Judge Foy is a member of the Bremer County, District 2A and
Iowa State Bar Associations. He is married and has four children.
District Court Judge, John S. Mackey:

Judge Mackey, Clear Lake, was appointed to the
bench in 1990. Born in Mechanicsville, Iowa, he received his bachelor's degree
from the University of Iowa in 1978. In 1982 he earned his law degree from the
University of Oklahoma. He practiced law with two private firms and served as a
judicial magistrate before his appointment. Judge Mackey belongs to the Iowa
Judges Association, Iowa State Bar Association, and the American Judicature
Society. He also chairs the Judicial Administration and Technology Committee.
Assistant Chief Judge, Bryan H. McKinley:

Judge McKinley, St. Ansgar, was appointed to
the bench in 1992. Born in Osage, Iowa, he went to the University of Iowa for
his undergraduate education. After graduating in 1973, he went to Drake
University School of Law and earned his degree in 1976. He clerked for the Iowa
Court of Appeals, worked in private practice, and served as assistant Mitchell
County attorney. Judge McKinley is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association
and the Iowa Judges Association. He was awarded the certificate of merit from
the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Abuse. He is married with two sons.
District Court Judge, Gary L. McMinimee:

Judge McMinimee, Carroll, was appointed to
the bench in 1988. Born in Carroll, Iowa, he earned his undergraduate degree in
chemical engineering from the University of Iowa in 1968 and his law degree in
1972 from Fordham Law School, where he was an editor of the Fordham Law Review.
From 1972 to 1974 he clerked for the Honorable William Hughs Mulligan of the
U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. Judge McMinimee served as an
assistant corporation counsel for the City of New York for one year. He then
spent 13 years in private practice in Carroll. Judge McMinimee is a member of
the Iowa Judges Association, the Carroll County Bar Association, the Iowa State
Bar Association and various committees of those organizations. He also serves
on the Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee of the Iowa Judges Association
and the Technology Committee for District 2B. He was selected as a faculty
advisor by the National Judicial College in 1995.
District Court Judge, Michael J. Moon:

Judge Moon, Marshalltown, was appointed to
the bench in September 2000. He received his bachelor's degree from the
University of Iowa in 1968. He graduated Order of Coif from Drake University
School of Law in 1974. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1974. Judge Moon
served as Magistrate in Marshall County from 1993 to 2000. He also practiced
law privately from 1974 to 2000. Judge Moon is a member of the Iowa Judges
Association, the American Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, and
the Marshall County Bar Association.
District Court Judge, William C. Ostlund:

Judge Ostlund, Jefferson, was appointed to
the bench in 1994. Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, he attended the University of
Iowa for his undergraduate education. After graduating in 1969, he went on to
law school at the University of Wyoming and earned his degree in 1972. He
clerked for Justice Warren J. Rees of the Iowa Supreme Court after law school
and then went into private practice. He also served as a judicial magistrate
and juvenile referee. Judge Ostlund is married with two children.
District Court Judge, William Pattinson:

Judge Pattinson, Ames, was appointed to the
bench in 1994. He received his undergraduate education at Minnesota's Winona
State University, and then earned his law degree from the University of Iowa.
Judge Pattinson practiced law in Ames until his appointment to the district
court bench. He also served as Story County's judicial magistrate from
1985 to 1994. Judge Pattinson is a member of the Iowa State Bar
Association and the Iowa Judges Association. He was the district court's
liaison to the Boone County Coalition against Domestic Violence for many years
and is presently the district court's representative in the EDMS (Electronic
Document Management System) pilot project in Story County.
District Court Judge, Dale E. Ruigh: District

Judge Ruigh, Ames, was appointed to the bench
in 1981. He was born in Mason City, Iowa, and attended Iowa State University
for his undergraduate education. After graduating in 1971, he went on to earn
his law degree in 1974 from the University of Iowa. He went into private practice
in Ames and served as a judicial magistrate prior to his appointment. He is a
member of the Iowa State Bar Association, the Blackstone Inn of Court, the Iowa
Judges Association, and the American Judicature Society. Judge Ruigh
received the Award of Merit from the Iowa Judges Association in 1998. He is
married.
District Court Judge, Joel E. Swanson:

Judge Swanson, Carroll, was appointed to the
bench in 1992. Born in Lake City, Iowa, he received his undergraduate and law
educations at the University of Iowa. He earned his law degree in 1967 and
served in the Iowa National Guard from 1964 to 1969. Judge Swanson practiced
law in Lake City and served as Calhoun County attorney before his appointment
to the bench. He is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Iowa
Judges Association. He is married and has two children.
District Court Judge, Colleen D. Weiland:

Judge Weiland, Mason City, was appointed to
the district bench in July of 2007. As a graduate of the University of
Iowa, she earned her bachelor's degree in 1991 and her law degree, with
distinction, in 1994. She has done internships with the Dubuque County
attorney's office and the Iowa attorney general. Judge Weiland practiced law in
Mason City from 1994-1998 and served as a judicial magistrate from 1997-
2007. She is a member of the Cerro Gordo County, District 2A, Iowa State,
and American Bar Associations.
District Associate Judge, Carlynn D. Grupp:

Judge Grupp, Mason City, was appointed to the
bench in 1987. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and earned her undergraduate
degree from Iowa State University in 1966. In 1978, she received her law degree
from the University of Iowa. She went into private practice and served as
assistant Cerro Gordo county attorney. Judge Grupp is married and has four
children.
District Associate Judge Lawrence E. Jahn:

Judge Jahn, Ames, was appointed as a District
Associate Judge effective October, 2005. As a graduate of the University
of Illinois, he earned his bachelor's degree in 1972 and his master's in 1976.
In 1982 he received his law degree from the University of Iowa and practiced
law with a private firm. He served as Story County magistrate from 1994 through
2005. Jahn is a member of the Story County, Iowa State, and American Bar
Associations.
District Associate Judge, James B. Malloy:
District 2B
Judge Malloy was appointed to the district
associate bench in October of 2007. He earned his bachelor's degree from
Iowa State University in 1976, M.ED. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in
1980 and law degree from the University of Nebraska in 1984. Judge Malloy
was a magistrate from 1997-2007, was the Assistant County Attorney in Boone
from 1984-1987, and was in private law practice from 1987-2007. He is a
member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Story County Bar Association.
District Associate Judge, Peter B. Newell:

Judge Newell, Waverly, was appointed to the
bench in 1995. Born in Yale, Michigan, he received his bachelor's degree from
Western Illinois University in 1984. He attended Drake University Law School
and graduated in 1987. Judge Newell spent seven years with the Black Hawk
County attorney's office as assistant county attorney. Judge Newell is married
and has two children.
District Associate Judge, Steven J. Oeth:

Judge Oeth, Ogden, was appointed to the bench
in June of 1997. Born in Dubuque, Iowa, Judge Oeth went to Drake University,
where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1978 and his law degree in 1982. From
1984 to 1997, he worked as the Boone County attorney. He also practiced law
privately from 1986 to 1997. Judge Oeth is a member of the Iowa Bar Association
and the Iowa Judges Association. He is married and has two children.
District Associate Judge, Kim Riley: District
2B
Judge Riley, Marshalltown, was appointed as a
District Associate Judge effective October 7, 2000. She obtained her
undergraduate degree from Sioux Falls College in 1985 and her law degree from
the University of South Dakota in 1988. After receiving her law degree, Judge
Riley served as a law clerk for the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court in South
Dakota. Later, she worked for the Iowa Department of Commerce, Banking
Division, and she served as Assistant County Attorney, Child Support Recovery
Division in Carroll County. She was also supervising attorney of the
Marshalltown Public Defender's Office. Judge Riley is a member of the Iowa
Judges Association. She is married.
District Associate Judge, Gregg Rosenbladt:
District 2A
Judge Rosenbladt, Mason City, was appointed
to the bench on October 1, 2008. He earned his undergraduate degree from
Wartburg College in 1984. In 1987 he received his law degree from the
University of Iowa. He practiced in a private law firm from 1987 - 1989. Judge
Rosenbladt spent 19 years with the Cerro Gordo County attorney's office as an
assistant county attorney. Judge Rosenbladt is a member of the Iowa State
Bar Association.
District Associate Judge, Kurt J. Stoebe:

Judge Stoebe, Humboldt, was appointed as a
District Associate Judge in July 2006. He received his undergraduate
degree from the University of South Dakota in 1977, and his law degree from the
University of Iowa in 1980. Stoebe has previously been a law clerk for Judge
Roy Stephenson with the U.S. Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Humboldt
County Attorney and was in private practice with Stoebe Law Office. He
served as Humboldt County magistrate from 2001 through 2006. Stoebe is a
member of the Iowa State Bar Association, Humboldt County Bar Association and
the Iowa Magistrates Association. He is married and has two children.
District Associate Judge, Steven P. Van
Marel: District 2B
Judge Van Marel, Ames, was appointed to the
bench in 1987. Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, he attended Iowa State
University. After earning his degree in community and regional planning in
1980, Judge Van Marel went to the University of Iowa and received his law
degree in 1983. He has worked as the assistant Wapello County attorney and the
assistant Story County attorney. Judge Van Marel is a member of the Iowa Judges
Association. He has a wife and two children.
Associate Juvenile Judge, Victor G. Lathrop:
District 2B
Judge Lathrop, Ames, was appointed to the
bench in 1985. Born in Rockford, Illinois, he received his bachelor's degree
from Illinois State University in 1972. He then joined the Iowa Air National
Guard and earned his law degree from Drake University in 1975. Judge Lathrop
has served as executive director of the legal aid society for Story County and
practiced law with a firm from 1977 to 1985. He belongs to the Iowa Judges
Association's Juvenile Court Committee and the National Council of Juvenile and
Family Court Judges. He has two children and is widowed.
Associate Juvenile Judge James McGlynn:

Judge McGlynn, Webster City, was appointed to
the bench in 1999. He earned his undergraduate degree from Drake University in
1972. He attended Creighton University School of Law, graduating in 1975. Judge
McGlynn has been in private practice since 1975. During that time he served
several positions including Assistant Kossuth County Attorney, Judicial
Magistrate for Kossuth County, and Assistant Webster County Attorney. He is a
member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Hamilton County Bar
Association.

Judge Breen was appointed to the bench in
1989. He attended Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, graduating in
1960. He earned his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School
in 1964. He practiced law in Chicago from 1965-1972 and in Fort Dodge from
1972-1988. He was the Assistant Webster County Attorney from
1979-1982. He is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association.
Senior Judge, Allan L. Goode: District 2B
Judge Goode, Fort Dodge, was appointed to the
bench in 1988. He was born in Bloomfield, Iowa and earned his bachelor's degree
from the University of Iowa in 1963. Judge Goode graduated from the University
of Iowa College of Law in 1966. He went into general trial practice and served
as assistant Webster County attorney before being appointed to the district
associate bench in 1986. Judge Goode is a member of the Iowa Judges
Association, Iowa State Bar Association, and the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Senior Judge, Thomas R. Hronek: District 2B
Judge Hronek, Ames, was appointed to the
bench in July of 1982. He graduated from Loras College with high honors in 1969
and went on to law school at Northwestern University. He graduated with honors
in 1972 and worked as assistant attorney general for the State of Iowa from
1972 to 1974. He then became the director at the Legal Aid Society of Story
County until 1976. Judge Hronek went into private practice from 1976 to 1982.

Judge Magee, Charles City, was appointed to
the bench in January of 1992. He earned his bachelor's degree from the
University of Iowa in 1965 and his law degree from the same institution in

Senior Judge, Paul Riffel: District 2A
Judge Riffel, Waverly, was appointed to the
bench in 1984. Born in Burlington, Iowa, he earned both his undergraduate and
law degrees from Drake University. After graduating in 1973, he served as city
attorney for Waverly, then as Bremer County attorney. He also practiced law
with a firm. Judge Riffel is a member of the Iowa Judges Association, 2A
District Bar Association, and the American Judicature Society. He serves on the
Board of Directors and legislative Policy Committee of the Iowa Judges
Association as well. Judge Riffel is married and has two children.
Senior Judge, Ronald H. Schechtman: District
2B
Judge Schechtman, Carroll, was appointed to
the bench in 1987. Born in Greeley, Iowa, he attended the University of Iowa.
He earned his undergraduate degree in 1954 and his law degree in 1958 from that
institution. After graduation, he practiced law in Carroll, Iowa, until his appointment.
He served as Chief Judge of the Second Judicial District. Judge Schechtman is a
member of the Carroll County and Iowa State Bar Associations, as well as the
Second Judicial District Bar Association, Iowa Judges Association, and American
Judges Association. He has four children.
Magistrate Rolf Aronsen
Magistrate Aronsen was appointed to serve
Cerro Gordo County in August of 2009. He graduated from Augustana in 1973
and Pepperdine University School of Law in 1978.
Magistrate Warren L. Bush
Magistrate Warren L. Bush, Wall Lake, was
appointed to serve Sac County in 1987. He graduated from the University of Iowa
in 1970 with his bachelor's degree and earned his law degree from Arizona State
University in 1973. He has practiced law with firms in Carroll and Wall Lake,
Iowa. He is married and has three children.
Magistrate Patrick B. Byrne
Magistrate Byrne was appointed to serve Cerro
Gordo County in August of 2009. He graduated from the University of
Northern Iowa in 1981, and from Drake University Law School, with Honors, in
1983. Mr. Byrne was the assistant County Attorney for Carroll, Greene,
Crawford, Audubon, Shelby, Guthrie and Sac Counties with the Child Support
Recovery Unit. He was an assistant public defender for Story County, and
the Chief public defender for Cerro Gordo County. He has been in private
practice since 1997. Mr. Byrne is a member of the Iowa State, Cerro Gordo
and Second District Bar Associations. He is also an associate member of
the Iowa Trust Association.
Magistrate Timothy A. Casperson
Magistrate Timothy A. Casperson was appointed
to serve in Hancock County on November 1, 2006. He earned his
undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1990 and his law
degree from the University of Iowa in 1996, graduating with distinction.
Magistrate Bruce Cornell
Magistrate Bruce Cornell, Fort Dodge, was
appointed to serve Webster County in 1982. He attended Creighton University,
where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1964 and his law degree in 1967. He has
been a practicing attorney since 1968 and is married with four children.
Magistrate Marilyn J. Dettmer
Magistrate Marilyn J. Dettmer was appointed
to serve Floyd County in January of 2008. She attended Wartburg College where
she earned her bachelor's degree in 1972, obtained her Masters Degree from UNI
in 1989, and her J.D., with Honors, from Drake Law School in 1991. Ms.
Dettmer was in private practice from 1992-1993. She was the Assistant
Floyd County Attorney from 1992-1994, and the Floyd County Attorney from
1994-2006. She has been in private practice since 2007. Ms. Dettmer
has been awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Ethics and Professional
Responsibility. She is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association.
Magistrate Jean McNeil Dunn
Magistrate Jean McNeil Dunn was appointed to
serve Hardin County in 2002. She earned her bachelor's degree from the
University of Iowa with distinction in 1976 and her law degree from the
University of Illinois in 1981. She is married with three children.
Magistrate Richard N. Dunn
Magistrate Richard N. Dunn was appointed to
serve Hardin County in 2006. He earned his bachelor's degree in 1983 and
his law degree in 1986, both from Drake University. Dunn has been in
private practice since 1987 and also served as Hardin county attorney from 1995
to 2006. Dunn is a member of the Iowa State and Hardin County bar
associations. He is married and has two children.
Magistrate Steven M. Egli
Magistrate Steven M. Egli, Waverly, was
appointed to serve Bremer County in 1993. As a graduate of the University of
Iowa, he earned his bachelor's degree in 1970 and his law degree in 1973. He
practiced law in New York State until 1980 and now is an attorney in Iowa. Egli
is a member of the Iowa State and American Bar Associations, as well as the
American Trial Lawyers Association. He is married with two children.
Magistrate Nicolas G. Fontanini
Magistrate Fontanini was appointed to serve
Boone County in August of 2009. He graduated from Iowa State University in
2003 and earned his law degree from the University of Iowa in 2007. Mr.
Fontanini was the Assistant Boone County Attorney from 2008-2009. He is a
member of the Boone County and Iowa State Bar Associations.
Magistrate Daron F. Fritz
Magistrate Daron F. Fritz, Lake Mills, was
appointed to serve Winnebago County in 1994. He earned his undergraduate degree
from the University of South Dakota in 1989 and his law degree from Drake
University in 1992. He practices law with a private firm and is married.
Magistrate David D. Gidel
Magistrate David D. Gidel, Rockwell City, was
appointed to serve Calhoun County in 1992. He graduated from the University of
Iowa in 1970 with his bachelor's degree and earned his law degree in 1976 from
Creighton University. He served in the United States Navy, was a
hospitalization referee, and Calhoun County attorney, in addition to practicing
law in Nebraska and Rockwell City, Iowa. Gidel is a member of the Calhoun
County, Iowa State, and Nebraska State Bar Associations, as well as the Iowa
Magistrates Association. He is married and has two sons.

Magistrate Haney was appointed to serve
Marshall County in September of 2007. He graduated from Grinnell College with
Honors in 1993 and earned his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1996.

earned his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1984. He served as Worth
County Attorney from 1986-98 and as city attorney for Manly since 2002. He is
married and has two sons.
Magistrate William A. Long
Magistrate William A. Long, Eagle Grove, was
appointed to serve Wright County in 1977. He graduated from Drake University in
1967 with his bachelor's degree and earned his law degree from the University
of South Dakota in 1970.
Magistrate Andrea M. Miller
Magistrate Andrea M. Miller, Hampton, has
been appointed to serve Franklin County in August 2001. She received her
undergraduate degree from Truman State University, Kirksville, Missouri, in
1993, Cum Laude, and her law degree from the University of Iowa Law School in
1999. She has served as a law clerk for Judicial District 2A for two years, has
been a law clerk for the Iowa Attorney General's Office and has volunteered at
the Disability Law Center at the University of Iowa. Miller is a member of the
Franklin County Bar and the Iowa State Bar Association, Young Lawyer's
Division. She is married.
Magistrate A. Eric Neu
Magistrate A. Eric Neu, Carroll, was appointed
to serve Carroll County in 1999. He received his undergraduate degree from
Northwestern University in 1989 and his law degree from the University of Iowa
in 1993. He served as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice David Harris from
1993 to 1994. He has been in private practice in Carroll since 1994. Neu is a
member of the Carroll County Bar Association and the Iowa State Bar
Association.

Magistrate O'Hare, Marshalltown, was
appointed to serve Marshall County on September 2000. He received his
undergraduate degree from Cornell College in 1977 and his J.D. from the
University of Iowa in 1982. He has been in private practice since July 1982. He
is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, ATLA, and the Marshall County

Magistrate Rita Harmening Pedersen,
Jefferson, was appointed to serve Greene County in 1994. As a graduate of Drake
University, she earned her bachelor's degree in 1981 and her law degree in
1984. She is a practicing attorney, an abstracter, and a member of the Iowa
State Bar Association's Real Estate and Title Law Section. She is married and
has four children.

Coif. Polking has been in private practice at the Polking Law Office in
Carroll since 2001. Magistrate Polking is a member of the Iowa State and

Magistrate DeDra L. Schroeder, Rudd, was
appointed to serve Mitchell County in 2005. She earned her bachelor's

University Of South Dakota School Of Law. Schroeder is in private practice
and is a member of the Floyd and Mitchell County Bar Associations. She is
married and has three children.
Magistrate Kathy Mace Skinner
Magistrate Kathy Mace Skinner, Nevada, was
appointed to serve Story County in 2005. As a graduate of Iowa State
University, she earned her bachelor's degree in 1969 and master's degree in
1972. She earned her law degree from Drake University in
1987. Skinner has served as administrative law judge and assistant
attorney general. She is presently in private practice and is a member of
the Story County and Iowa State Bar Associations. She is married and has
two children.
Magistrate Greg Stoebe
Magistrate Greg Stoebe was appointed to serve
Humboldt County in July 2006. He graduated from the University of Iowa
with a bachelor's degree in 1973 and earned his law degree from Hamline
University School of Law in 1976, graduating Cum Laude. Mr. Stoebe has
been practicing law for 30 years. He was the assistant Humboldt County
Attorney from 1985 -1999, the Assistant and City Attorney for Humboldt from
1977 - 1997. He has been an Ad Hoc Mediator for the Iowa PER Board since
1996. Mr. Stoebe is a member of the Iowa State and Humboldt County Bar
Associations. He won the Iowa Legal Aid/Volunteer Lawyers Project Award in
2005 for pro bono service and is a former President of the Iowa Municipal
Attorneys Association.
Magistrate Karen Thalacker
Magistrate Thalacker was appointed to serve
Bremer County in August of 2009. She graduated from Wartburg College in
1988, and received her law degree from Drake University Law School. She
served as an Assistant County Attorney in Black Hawk County from 1991 - 1994,
was in private practice from 1994 - 2000, has been a Lecturer in Public Law at
Wartburg College since 1997, and has practiced with a law firm since
2006. Magistrate Thalacker is a member of the Bremer County and Iowa State
Bar Associations.

Magistrate Ann M. Troge
Magistrate Ann M. Troge was appointed to
serve Floyd County in 1994. She earned her bachelor's degree from the
University of Northern Iowa and her law degree from Drake University. Since
graduating in 1992, Troge has practiced law with two firms. She is a member of
the Floyd County, Iowa State, and American Bar Associations, as well as the
Iowa Trial Lawyers Association. She is single and has no children.

Magistrate Ronald J. Wagenaar, Mason City,
was appointed to serve Cerro Gordo County in September 2007. He earned his
bachelor's degree from Northwestern College, Orange City, in 1981 and his law
degree from the University of Washington Law School, Seattle Washington, in
1984. Magistrate Wagenaar was a staff attorney for Legal Services
Corporation of Iowa from 1985-1989, and a managing attorney for Legal Services
from 1989-2007. He is a member of the Iowa State and Washington State Bar
Associations.
