Court Sets Unpaid Leave and Office Closure Date

 

Des Moines, February 3, 2009—The Iowa Supreme Court issued an order closing all court offices, including clerk of district court offices and the office of the clerk of the supreme court on February 16, 2009, and requiring all court personnel  except judges and magistrates to take unpaid leave that day. The closure is in response to an expected reduction in the FY 09 Iowa Judicial Branch operating budget.

 

To lessen the effect on the public, the court scheduled the closing on Presidents' Day, a federal holiday.
