Judicial Branch Seeks Cost-Cutting Ideas

 

Des Moines, April 1, 2009— The Iowa Judicial Branch website has a new page that Iowans may use to submit ideas for court cost-cutting measures. The Judicial Branch also welcomes ideas for innovations and reforms that would improve the administration of justice within the constraints of lower budgets. The page is on the World Wide Web at:

The Judicial Branch has undertaken a number of cost-cutting measures to reduce its expenditures for the current fiscal year (FY 09).  Deeper cuts will be necessary for the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2009.
