Commission Names Nominees for Iowa Court of Appeals

 

Des Moines, August 18, 2009— The State Judicial Nominating Commission selected the following nominees for the vacancy on the Iowa Court of Appeals created by the recent retirement of Judge John Miller.

 

David R. Danilson, Boone, Age 55

District Judge (appointed 1997) —Second Judicial District

J.D., 1979, Creighton University

 

Michael R. Mullins, Washington, Age 57

District Judge (appointed 2002) —Eighth Judicial District

J.D., 1982, Drake University

 

Bruce B. Zager, Waterloo, Age 56

District Judge (appointed 1999) —First Judicial District

J.D., 1980, Drake University

 

In accordance with the Constitution of the State of Iowa, the governor has thirty days in which to make an appointment from the slate of nominees.
