Governor Appoints Judge Danilson to Iowa Court of Appeals

 

Des Moines, September 17, 2009—Governor Culver appointed District Judge David R. Danilson, Boone, to the Iowa Court of Appeals. Judge Danilson, 55, will fill the vacancy that resulted from the recent retirement of Court of Appeals Judge John Miller. 

 

Judge Danilson was appointed district judge in 1997. He was born in Perry, Iowa, and received his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in 1976. He graduated from Creighton Law School in 1979. He has practiced law privately, served as a judicial hospital referee, a judicial magistrate, and was appointed to the district associate bench in 1987. Judge Danilson is a member of the Iowa Judges Association and the Iowa State Bar Association.
