Appoints Mary Tabor to Iowa Court of Appeals

Moines, April 29, 2010—
Governor Culver appointed
Assistant Attorney General Mary E. Tabor, Des Moines, to the Iowa Court of
Appeals. Tabor, 46, will fill the vacancy that resulted from the retirement of
Court of Appeals Judge Robert Mahan.
Tabor
has been an attorney with the Office of the Attorney General since 1993. She
was named Director of the Criminal Appeals Division in 1999. Tabor was born in
Maquoketa, Iowa, and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa
in 1985. She graduated from the University of Iowa Law School in 1991. She was
a staff attorney in the Federal Election Commission Office of General Counsel
from 1991-1993. Tabor is a member of the Blackstone Inn of Court and the Iowa
State Bar Association.
