For Students and Teachers 

  

Student tours of county courthouses in Iowa can be arranged through the clerk of court office or other government office in the courthouse.  

Tour Judicial Branch Building in Des Moines  

Ask a Judge to visit your classroom.   If a judge's schedule allows, a visit to the classroom can be an opportunity to meet and talk about the role and daily life of a judge.

A Guide to Iowa's Court System is a 16 page overview of Iowa's court structure, civil, criminal and appellate procedure and Iowa's case load.    

Courts at a Glance is a seven page summary of court structure and procedure laid out in an easy- to-follow format.
