Student tours of county courthouses in Iowa can be arranged through the clerk of court office or other government office in the courthouse.

Ask a Judge to visit your classroom.   If a judge's schedule allows, a visit to the classroom can be an opportunity to meet and talk about the role and daily life of a judge.

A Guide to Iowa's Court System is a 16 page overview of Iowa's court structure, civil, criminal and appellate procedure and Iowa's case load.    

Courts at a Glance is a seven page summary of court structure and procedure laid out in an easy- to-follow format. 

  

Teaching Aids: 

We the Jury is a public service project for high schools by the Young Lawyers Division of the Iowa State Bar Association.  This program includes:
