Chief Justice Christensen has signed a corrected order concerning the hiring of private court reporters by counsel in civil cases that repealed orders that were done in 2010 and 2023 and updated the procedure and rates. The original order referred to a “November 10, 2010 order” and a “May 1, 2013 order.” The correct references are “November 24, 2010 order” and “May 1, 2023 order.”

July 14, 2023, State Judicial Nominating Commission interview videos are now posted on YouTube.
The State Judicial Nominating Commission interviewed 16 applicants to fill the vacancy on the Iowa Court of Appeals arising from the retirement of Judge Anuradha Vaitheswaran. Following the interviews, the commission deliberated and selected a slate of five nominees from the group of applicants and delivered the slate to the Governor.
The State Judicial Nominating Commission will live stream this afternoon's interviews for the Iowa Court of Appeals vacancy beginning at 1 pm.
