Judge Odekirk, Black Hawk, was appointed to the bench in 2015. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in 1989, and his law degree from the same institution in 1993. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Odekirk was in private practice from 1995 until 2015. He is a member of the Black Hawk County Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association.
