Magistrate Nathaniel C. Moonen was appointed to serve Winneshiek County in November of 2014. Magistrate Moonen was born and raised in Dubuque County and moved to Winneshiek County in 2011. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2004 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and has been practicing in the Moonen Law Offices located in Ossian and Epworth, Iowa.
