Judge Sparks was appointed to the bench in 2023. She earned her undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University in 2007. She earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Northern Iowa in 2011 and her law degree from Drake University Law School in 2013. Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Sparks served as the Boone County magistrate and was in private practice at Sparks Law, PLLC. She is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Iowa Judges Association.
