Judge Batey was appointed as a District Associate Judge in December 2022. She has a bachelor’s degree in Ethics and Public Policy from the University of Iowa. Judge Batey earned her law degree from Drake University Law School in 2015, where she graduated with high honors. After passing the bar, she entered private practice, working at Vickers Law Office in Greene until her appointment as District Associate Judge. Judge Batey also served as the Butler County magistrate for three years.
Judge Batey serves on the Judicial Education Judges Committee. She is a member of The Iowa State Bar Association and the Butler County Bar Association.
