Magistrate Ronald J. Wagenaar, Mason City, was appointed to serve Cerro Gordo County in September 2007. He earned his bachelor's degree from Northwestern College, Orange City, in 1981 and his law degree from the University of Washington Law School, Seattle Washington, in 1984. Magistrate Wagenaar was a staff attorney for Legal Services Corporation of Iowa from 1985-1989, and a managing attorney for Legal Services from 1989 - 2007. He is a member of the Iowa State and Washington State Bar Associations.
