Magistrate Livingston was appointed to the bench in December 2020. She received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in 1995 and her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1998. Previously Magistrate Livingston worked as the assistant county attorney for Story and Boone County from 1999-2003, assistant public defender for the Story County public defender's office from 2003-2004, assistant county attorney for Webster County from 2004-2009, a partner at Bennett Law Firm from 2009-2016, a partner at Thatcher, Tofilon and Livingston from 2016-2019, and a partner at Thatcher and Livingston from 2019 until her appointment to the bench. She is a member of the Webster County Bar Association and the Iowa State Bar Association.
