Magistrate Benson was appointed to serve as Pottawattamie County August 2023. She graduated from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, Summa Cum Laude in 2004 and Creighton University Law School in 2007. She practiced in insurance defense including accident liability and personal injury rom 2007-2008 and has been in. general practice including criminal defense, CINA and delinquency cases, adult and juvenile committals, family and civil law, probate, bankruptcy, and small claims from 2008 to the present.
