Judge Gamble, Clive, was appointed to the bench in 1983. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, he attended the University of Iowa where he earned his bachelor's and law degree. He graduated with distinction in 1978 and worked in private practice until his appointment. Judge Gamble is a member of the Polk County and Iowa State Bar Associations. He is also the past president of the Iowa Judges Association and of the C. Edwin Moore American Inn of Court. He is married with four children. He retired and became a senior judge in January, 2019
