Magistrate Jeff Lipman was appointed as a Dallas County Magistrate in February of 2024. Before that he served as a Polk County Magistrate since May of 2001. Magistrate Lipman is a 1989 graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law. Magistrate Lipman serves as the President of the Iowa Magistrate Judges Association and is active in judicial education where he is a frequent presenter at Judicial Conferences in the areas of mental health and small claims.
