Judge Kimberly Ayotte was appointed to the bench in February 2019. She received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in 1993 and her J.D. from the University of Iowa in 1996 with Distinction. Prior to her appointment, she worked as a staff attorney for 23 at the Youth Law Center. She is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, National Association of Counsel for Children, Child Welfare Law Specialist, National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, Blackstone American Inn of Court, and the Iowa Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rules of Juvenile Procedure. She is married with two children and a licensed USA swim official.
