Judge Linn, Burlington, was appointed to the bench in 1994. He was born in Hampton, Iowa, and was educated at the University of Iowa. He received his undergraduate degree in 1973 and his law degree in 1976. He then spent three years in private practice and 15 years as a public defender in Burlington, Iowa. Judge Linn is a member of the Iowa Bar Association; Iowa Judges Association; Board of Directors of Iowa Judges Association (2006 - 2010); Judicial Education Committee and Criminal Law Committee.
