Case No. 17-0287

In the Interest of L.M., Minor Child, K.L., Mother

The minor child’s guardian ad litem is seeking further review after the court of appeals reversed and remanded the termination of the mother’s parental rights. The court of appeals found that a six-month extension to allow the mother, who has been granted parole, to work for reunification is warranted under the circumstances of the case. The minor child’s guardian ad litem claims that the court of appeals erred in finding that the Department of Human Services failed to provide reasonable efforts toward reunification and erred by failing to address whether reunification is in the child’s best interest considering the minor child’s age.
