Case No. 17-1286

State of Iowa
v.
Charles Raymond Albright

Charles Albright appeals his convictions and sentences for kidnapping in the first degree and willful injury causing bodily injury. Albright challenges: (1) the sufficiency of the evidence regarding his conviction for first-degree kidnapping; (2) the submission to the jury of kidnapping in the second degree, dangerous-weapon alternative, as a lesser-included offense of kidnapping in the first degree; (3) the effectiveness of his counsel for failing to object to evidence of Albright’s other crimes, wrongs, or acts; and (4) the determination Albright could pay legal assistance fees without first establishing an amount.
