Case No. 18-2201

Darren Petro
v.
Palmer College of Chiropractic

Plaintiff appeals from district court orders granting summary judgment and dismissing his claims under state and municipal law for age and disability discrimination and breach of contract. Plaintiff contends the district court: (1) erred in finding provisions of the City of Davenport’s civil rights ordinance authorizing enforcement of plaintiff’s age discrimination claim in district court were invalid; (2) lacked jurisdiction to rule on defendant’s motion for summary judgment because it raised arguments previously rejected by the Iowa civil rights commission; and (3) erred in finding the parties’ contract was not supported by sufficient consideration.
