Case No. 21-0859

Reed Dickey, Michael Dickey, and Andrea Dickey
v.
Jeremy Hoff, Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital, Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Loess Hills Behavioral Health, Emily Gorman, Jeff Rutledge, the School District of Lincoln, a/k/a Lincoln Public Schools

Reed, Michael, and Andrea Dickey, all residents of Nebraska, appeal the dismissal of their lawsuit against several defendants stemming from Reed’s head injuries inflicted during a wrestling match in Council Bluffs. The Dickeys argue: (1) the district court erred in dismissing their claims on the ground that the Iowa Supreme Court’s supervisory order tolling the statute of limitations was unconstitutional; (2) the district court erred in dismissing the claims against Lincoln Public Schools and Jeff Rutledge for lack of personal jurisdiction; and (3) the district court erred in dismissing defendants Jennie Edmundson Hospital and Emily Gorman on the grounds of noncompliance with Iowa Code section 147.140.
