Case No. 22-0326

State of Iowa
v.
Iowa Juvenile Court for Plymouth County

The court granted the State’s petition for writ of certiorari following a juvenile court order vacating and modifying its original waiver order finding that waiver was not appropriate based on newly discovered evidence. The State argues after the juvenile court waived its jurisdiction over I.S., it no longer retained any authority to modify or vacate the waiver order. The State further asserts the juvenile court abused its discretion when it found I.S. presented newly discovered evidence that warranted vacation of the original waiver order.
