Case No. 22-1507

State of Iowa
v.
Jacob Lee Goble

Jacob Goble pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, third offense, in violation of Iowa Code section 124.401(5) (2021). The district court sentenced Goble to a period of incarceration, not to exceed five years. On appeal, Goble argued the district court improperly considered the timing of parole as a factor when imposing sentence. The court of appeals determined there was not an abuse of discretion by the district court and affirmed. Goble seeks further review.
