Case No. 23-0338

State of Iowa
v.
Adam Aaron Rhodes

Adam Rhodes appeals from his conviction for possession of a firearm by a felon, a class “D” felony, in violation of Iowa Code section 724.26(1). He argues the Thompson/Center Impact .50 Caliber In-Line Muzzleloader rifle he possessed and used to harvest a deer was a “replica” of an “antique firearm,” and accordingly was not a firearm for purposes of the statute.
