Ls Power Midcontinent, LLC and Southwest Transmission, LLC v. State

Following the appeal in LS Power Midcontinent, LLC v. State, 988 N.W.2d 316 (Iowa 2023), the district court granted plaintiffs summary judgment on their claim Iowa Code section 478.16 was invalid because it was enacted in violation of the state constitution’s title and single-subject requirements. The district court issued a permanent injunction. Defendant and intervenors appeal, alleging the court erred in the scope of the injunction.
