State of Iowa
v.
Lloyd Aschbrenner
Defendant appeals from the district court judgment and sentence entered on his conviction of violating sex offender registry requirements. Defendant contends: (1) the internet identifier requirement found in the sex offender registration statute, Iowa Code chapter 692A (2017), as applied to him violate the ex post facto prohibitions of the federal and state constitutions; and (2) the requirement for disclosure of internet identifiers found in the registration statute violates the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and the comparable provision in the state constitution.
