In re N.F.

The State and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) (collectively “the State”) appeal an order granting N.F.’s petition from disabilities under Iowa Code section 724.31 (2023). The parties disagree regarding whether the State has a right of appeal in Iowa Code section 724.31 cases. The State further argues the district court improperly discounted N.F.’s substance abuse committal in its analysis and erred in finding that N.F. met his burden for restoration of his firearms rights.
